Music: Lady Gaga – Venus

Although this is pop music, it is very different form what is currently on the radio (Justin Bieber, One Direction, Rihanna) as it is a bit experimental and the subject matter isn’t something that interests everybody. Planets, rocket ships, galaxy, space, and time. It’s typical Gaga and yet different from her previous work. The song is a promotional single from her new album called ARTPOP which is available November 2013 worldwide. It has not been released to radio stations but there is a music video planned so brace yourselves for the flawless madness!

“Rocket number 9 take off to the planet Venus. Aphrodite lady, sea shell bikini.”

Throughout the song she sings about the gods that the planets are named after. I love that the song mainly references the goddess of love, Venus. My Zodiac sign is Taurus and my ruling planet is Venus, and I’ve always liked Venus because it’s so bright at sunset. Also: Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars. 😉

“I can’t help the way I’m feeling. Goddess of Love please take me to your leader.”

She performed the song on the X Factor UK. She started out with an acoustic version on the guitar with girls surrounding her. Then she went into the studio version wearing a simple blond wig, a flesh coloured bikini with seashells on the top, and no shoes (unusual for Gaga who almost always performs in heels.) Although Gaga has always written her own songs this one is the first that she has produced all on her own.
