Make & Bake: The Lazy Girl’s Alfredo Pasta

Alfredo Pasta

If you’ve had a long day or you’re feeling tired, the last thing you want to do is be at the stove cooking. But what if you really want to eat some pasta? I found these boxes of pasta at Checkers and I love them so much. They are quick and easy to make, inexpensive, and tasty. So here is my guide to the lazy girl’s alfredo pasta.

You will need:
1 box of Royco Saucy Pasta – Alfredo
1/2 cup of milk
1 and 1/2 cups of water

It comes with tagliatelle pasta and the powder for the sauce. The box says that it serves 2 but I usually have a whole box to myself. I end up eating the leftovers half an hour later.

Step 1
Bring the milk and water to the boil in a medium saucepan. Easy. If you’re going to close the lid, watch so that it doesn’t boil over.

The milk and water should be bubbling.

Step 2
Add the pasta and sauce sachet contents and bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Stir quickly or else the powder forms little clumps.

Make sure the powder is dissolved properly.

Step 3
Reduce heat and simmer gently until pasta is cooked to your liking. The pasta will get soft and the sauce will get thicker the longer it stands.

Reduce the heat but keep it bubbling softly.
Keep stirring so that the pasta doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot.
You will see the sauce getting thicker and the pasta softer.
After ten minutes you have a thick creamy alfredo sauce and the pasta is cooked just right and ready to serve.

Step 4
Serve the pasta to your liking. I like to have it with vegetables but in this case I had it as is.
