Happy birthday to us! As you may have heard it’s our birthday month and we’ve decided to spoil our readers with a cool beauty giveaway. This giveaway is all about the eyes so we picked up some nice items from Inglot and Beautique that we thought you might like. Read below to find out more about the awesome prize.
Freedom System Eyeshadow Squares
From the official Inglot South Africa site:
Eye shadow that contains special silicones and treated pigments. It boasts high lubricity and a silky touch combined with easy, smooth, long-lasting, and crease resistant application.
Inglot has a variety of eyeshadows each with a different type of finish marked with a different code: AMC (Advanced Makeup Component), Pearl, DS (Double Sparkle), AMC Shine, Matte.
Ping and Ting are giving away two of the purple colours for this giveaway (AMC 66 and Pearl 439). I (Ting) really like purple eye makeup. I own a few purple eyeshadow palettes from other brands and I have reviewed some of them before. I think it looks good with any eye colour, particularly brown, hazel, and green. You can create a smokey eye look with these two or wear them separately. The eyeshadows are a bit hard to photograph because they are covered in plastic. The darker one tends to look blue sometimes but it is really a deep purple colour.
.We couldn’t do any swatches since they are sealed and we would want the winner to receive the products in its original packaging.
You can purchase them at Inglot counters for R99 each. The cool thing about these eyeshadows is that they have a magnetic back to they can fit into the Freedom System Palettes where you can mix and match products and colours to create your own custom eyeshadow palette. You can view and buy all the colours on their website.
Freedom System Palette 2 Eye Shadow Square
The Freedom System Palettes come in a variety of sizes. It has a magnetic layer at the bottom so your eyeshadows will stay in place. You also have the freedom to mix and match and rearrange your eyeshadows when you feel like a change or when they run out. The palettes range from 2 squares to 20 squares. The cover is also magnetic so when it’s moving around in your handbag it won’t budge at all.
This duo palette goes for R69 each. You can view the palette and others on their website.
All Over Eye Shadow Brush + Crease Blender Brush
So you have your brand new eyeshadows and your clever little magnetic palette but what are you going to use to apply them? What you need are some eyeshadow brushes.
Beautique brushes are affordable, long-lasting, and they get the job done. The brushes feel luxurious and they are quite easy to clean. I find that brushes are more hygienic and give a better finish than sponge applicators, especially if you are using more than one colour. Use the all over brush (R49.95) for applying eyeshadow on the lid and crease. Then use the crease blender brush (R34.95) to apply and blend a darker colour to the crease and outer corner. You can view the rest of the makeup brushes from Beautique on redsquare.co.za.
The competition is only open to South African residents and ends on the 31st of October 2014 at midnight. Good luck to all!
